Sponsors Support Feast and Scholarship Fund
The Feast of St. Jerome’s Liturgy and Dinner is well on its way to being sold out, with sponsors once again partnering to make sure this event is a success. The proceeds from the university’s signature fundraising event support student scholarships at St. Jerome’s University. Organizers hope to surpass last year’s goal, which netted over $55,000. The Feast has contributed financial support for student scholarships, awards and bursaries annually since 2001.
“Sponsors have always been an important part of this event’s success,” noted Viola Poletes Montgomery, the director of advancement at St. Jerome’s University. “We are so grateful to have returning supporters including, The Diocese of Hamilton, Waterloo Catholic District School Board, TD Wealth, Heffner Auto, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the Congregation of the Resurrection, Wellington Catholic District School Board, the University of Waterloo, and Dana Hospitality. I am also delighted to welcome new sponsors Staebler Insurance and Walter Fedy.”
Sponsors and guests at the Friday, September 29, 2017 Feast event will enjoy a liturgy followed by a four course dinner and presentation. The evening begins with an open service at 5:00 p.m. in the university’s Notre Dame Chapel, followed by a reception in the Academic Centre Atrium, both located on campus at 290 Westmount Drive North, in Waterloo. The Right Honourable Paul Martin, the twenty-first Prime Minister of Canada, will be at the Feast receiving the 2017 Chancellor John R. Sweeney Award for Catholic Leadership.
“The Feast event celebrates our community and our students,” added Poletes Montgomery. “We look forward to this annual fall gathering with our colleagues, friends and supporters.”
Seating is reserved and available individually ($175/person) or by table ($1,600 for a table of 10). A limited number of tickets are still available at: http://2017Feast.ticketfi.com.
