Justice and the Third World

For over three decades, Carty observes, Canada’s foremost response to Third World poverty has been foreign aid. He questions whether this policy has helped produce development or has actually perpetuated poverty. He recently published a study on the problems of Canadian aid, titled “Perpetuating Poverty: The Political Economy of Canadian Foreign Aid”.
