Date: Friday,October 13, 2017
Time: 07:30 PM

Astronomical discoveries reveal ever more amazing views of our universe, unveiling beautiful nebulae, immense star clusters, colliding galaxies, and countless other wonders. In this lecture, research astrophysicist Dr. Anton M. Koekemoer presents the latest exciting astronomical highlights, including images from the Hubble Space Telescope, that were used to inspire some of the beautiful illustrations in The Saint John’s Bible. He also shares some personal reflections, from his own perspective as a Christian, on how our scientific view of the universe can be reconciled in harmony with religion, for a deeper appreciation of the universe in which we live.
