Admissions
Jon Says Farewell
27 Apr, 2017

Four months ago I walked into the Experience Centre at St. Jerome's only knowing what it was like to be a student here.

As I write this, my final blog post for the term, I appreciate the community even more now that I've seen how much thought and hard work goes into it behind the scenes. The staff here genuinely care about this place and go way beyond their job descriptions to ensure that students like you feel nourished and looked after.

When Jay told me that I was going to be working on a blog this term I had no clue where to start. In the past four months, this blog has allowed me to get to know:

I've also had the privilege of working alongside an amazing Experience Guide team and have gotten to pick their brains about:

You can meet all of these Experience Guides in the weekly Ambassador Spotlight posts.

There are a lot of other posts and articles and links that I'm equally proud of. I feel like this blog has allowed me to showcase what a unique place SJU is.

The people here - whether staff, faculty, administration, students, or cleaning staff - have made it difficult for me to say goodbye. That's why I'll still be around in the summer when I have class. The blog will go on hiatus for a couple of weeks but you may start seeing a few new posts every now and then from Jay, other students, or myself. You might even catch me at You @ Waterloo Day! Who knows.

Thanks for following along. It's been a slice.
