March Break Open House is just around the corner! Next Saturday, March 9^th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, St. Jerome’s and the University of Waterloo will be buzzing with excitement, offering tours, sample lectures and information sessions across campus. Open House holds a very special place in my heart because it’s where I first discovered and fell in love with SJU. After visiting campus, meeting students and staff, and feeling out the ~vibes~, there was no question in my mind that this was where I needed to be. Take this opportunity to visit and envision what it might be like to live and learn here – it will make such a huge difference in your decision-making process.

When you’re choosing where to spend the next four years of your life, there are a lot of important factors. What do the program offerings look like? What are the residence options? How many geese roam the campus and honk at passing students? It’s all a lot to keep in mind, but the most important thing is to pick the place that feels right. I hope that after visiting us at March Break Open House, you’ll have a better idea of what SJU has to offer and why so many students have chosen to call this place home.

St. Jerome’s will be offering residence and academic tours all day long, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning in the atrium of SJ2, our brand new academic building. Our Experience Guides will show you around their favourite places on the SJU campus and give you an idea of what it’s like to be a St. Jerome’s student.

Our residence community is home to students from all different faculties and programs, but our Arts students have the opportunity to live and learn at SJU. Co-registered Honours Arts and Arts and Business students enjoy smaller class sizes and individual attention from faculty and staff, getting all the benefits of a small liberal arts college while earning a degree from the world-class University of Waterloo. Can’t wait to start soaking up all that knowledge? Sample lectures will be running all day in almost every subject you can imagine. Sit in on a sample lecture to experience firsthand what university classes are actually like and get a taste for the topics you’ll be diving into in your first year here!
