Born and raised in Québec, I moved to Ontario in 1999 to undertake my MA at the University of Guelph, followed by my PhD at McMaster University. Since completing my PhD, I have held several visiting appointments, including Assistant Professor of English (on a limited-term appointment) at the University of Winnipeg and at Ryerson University, SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, Leverhulme Visiting Fellow at the University of Worcester, and Visiting Scholar at the TransCanada Institute. I am currently affiliated with the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre (Ryerson), the Institute for Child and Youth Studies (Lethbridge), and the Centre for Research in Young People’s Texts and Cultures (Winnipeg).

I also have taught in various undergraduate programs at Wilfrid Laurier University since 2010 and in the graduate certificate program in publishing at Ryerson since 2015, and I have lived in the Kitchener–Waterloo area for over a decade.
