RE-POST - ADMINISTRATIVE AND EVENTS ASSISTANT

POSITION PROFILE

The Administrative and Events Assistant is the first point of contact for all visitors to St. Jerome’s University. They are responsible for guest services including parking, support University events, and coordinate the arrival of trades and other visitors. The Administrative and Events Assistant has a strong customer orientation and looks for opportunities to ensure that all visitors to the University receive the highest standard of care. They report to the Director, Student Services and maintain primary responsibility for mail, shipping and receiving, student form collection, and are knowledgeable of the programs and services available to students. The Administrative and Events Assistant works closely with all administrative support positions at St. Jerome’s University and is aware of daily and future events at the University.

As a successful Administrative and Events Assistant, you possess:

  • Post-secondary education, in addition to 1-3 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite of tools and other software programs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous experience in managing multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage and process confidential material in a professional manner
  • Previous experience in supporting events is an asset
