Award description: 
The William C. Leonard Scholarship is donated through the generosity of Mrs. Louise Leonard of Waterloo. The award is named to honour the memory of her beloved, late husband Major General William C. Leonard who commanded the land and air forces of the Canadian Forces in Europe. Major General Leonard was a kind and generous man, a respected soldier and general officer in Canada's Armed Forces, a devout Roman Catholic, and a community leader and builder. The award is presented to at least one upper-year St. Jerome’s University co-registered student, SJU resident, or student with a connection to the St. Jerome’s community. The recipient must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need as well as leadership and/or community involvement.
