Residence Activities

No matter what time you walk into the residence at St. Jerome’s, you’re likely to find lots of activity. St. Jerome’s Residence Life Team works together to plan events with an emphasis on community outreach, educational and social programming. A Residence Council, which is made up of elected members from each of the floors, the residence Dons, and the Residence Manager, organizes social functions and represents the residents in issues that pertain to the everyday workings of their home away from home. Each year, the Residence Council produces a yearbook, holds numerous house dinners, and organizes a semi-formal. Along with these activities, the St. Jerome’s residents field teams in a number of Campus Recreation intramural sports leagues. No matter what your level of skill, you’ll be welcome to join in a game of hockey, basketball, volleyball, or dodgeball, to name just a few of the sports available. There’s something for everyone, and whether you’re playing sports, conducting a meeting, organizing an event, or cheering your friends on, you’ll feel like an important part of the St. Jerome’s residence family.

Orientation

The week before classes begin for the fall term the entire campus holds a week of activities to help welcome first year students to campus. This includes activities to help you become familiar with the campus and its facilities as well as the neighbourhood amenities. There is a fee associated with these activities and it is added to your first term fees.
