A podcast is an audio and/or video broadcast that can be downloaded for free onto a computer or portable media player.
1. To subscribe, click the
button to open the RSS feed. Copy the URL of the RSS feed to the podcasting software you wish to use. New lectures will automatically be downloaded into your podcasting software.
2. To download and play only one podcast, choose a podcast from the list and click the
button to immediately play.
The video podcasts are available in 3 qualities. The higher the quality the larger the file. The highest quality video could take a number of hours to download if you do not have a fast internet connection. The videos are compressed using ZIP. Windows, MacOS X, Linux and Unix all have built in programs to unzip these files to their original format.
To view these we recommend that you use either
VLC or
Quicktime
These are available free of charge and support a number of formats on both the Windows and Macintosh platform.
