At St. Jerome's University and the University of Waterloo, tuition fees are paid per 4-month academic term. A school year consists of two 4-month academic terms either back-to-back (regular) or alternated with 4-month paid work terms (co-op).
In addition to tuition, university students will incur other costs -- books and supplies, residence, off-campus accommodation, bus fare, athletic and social activities, such as gym memberships, movies, eating out.
