Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards:

Community Contributions Awards
These are awarded to students who have made significant contributions to St. Jerome’s University in the areas of student life and community-building. Contributions to the wider community (local, hometown, national, or international) may also be considered.

University Life Awards
These are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence in conjunction with significant contributions to student life and community-building at St. Jerome’s University; service to the wider community (local, hometown, national, or international) may also be considered.

Zach Ralston Award
As the highest graduating student award, this honours the student who combines consistent academic excellence with a demonstrated ongoing commitment to building community and enhancing student life at St. Jerome’s University; service to the wider community (local, hometown, national, or international) may also be considered.

Todd Earl Spirit Award
This is awarded to a first-year student who has exhibited exceptional enthusiasm and commitment through her/his passionate engagement in student life at St. Jerome’s University.

D.R. Letson Community Service Award
This is awarded to a St. Jerome's registered student or SJU resident for his or her involvement in voluntary community service beyond our campus. Voluntary community service might include working with the poor, homeless, or disabled individuals; seniors; or groups like Big Brothers / Sisters, the House of Friendship, or the Rotary Centre. Such service can occur in a student's hometown or in the local K-W community.


How To Nominate

NOTE: Please save all files to your computer before adding text to any of the pdf forms. Open the saved forms on your computer and then begin adding text.

  1. Anyone may nominate a graduating student who has/will be completing his/her studies in December 2011, April 2012, or August 2012. Self-nominations will be accepted. Please complete the Nomination Form.
  2. Nominators should only fill out Section 2 and communicate with the candidate directly to complete Section 1 of the Candidate Information Form. If you are a self-nominating candidate you only need to complete Section 1.
  3. The Candidate Information Form must be typed and submitted electronically by Monday, February 27th to sjuregistrar@uwaterloo.ca
  4. Two reference forms must be typed and also e-mailed to sjuregistrar@uwaterloo.ca by Monday, February 27th.  A nominator may be used as a reference. Please complete the Reference Form.

How To Nominate An Individual for the Todd Earl Spirit Award

  1. Anyone may nominate a student who began his/her studies in Fall 2011 or Winter 2012.  Note: Self-nomination will not be accepted for this award. Please complete the Nomination Form.
  2. Nominators should only fill out Section 2 and communicate with the candidate directly to complete Section 1 of the Nomination Form.  
  3. The Nomination Form must be typed and submitted electronically by Monday, February 27th to sjuregistrar@uwaterloo.ca

How To Nominate An Individual for the D.R. Letson Community Service Award

  1. Anyone may nominate a St. Jerome's registered student or SJU resident. Self-nominations will be accepted. Please complete the Nomination Form.
  2. The Nomination Form must be typed and submitted electronically by Wednesday, February 29th to mbdavis@uwaterloo.ca
  3. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are eligible to nominate.
