St. Jerome's University Campus Ministry only has the jurisdiction to celebrate sacraments for members of our community. Therefore, we encourage people who have been attending Mass at St. Jerome's to fill out a registration form and invite you to get involved.
For information regarding our sacraments please contact
Sarah Mounsteven-Bertling at 519-884-8111, Ext. 28220.

The Campus Ministry Team works closely with the pastor of St. Michael’s parish to obtain direction and permission for marriage ceremonies to take place at St. Jerome’s University, in Notre Dame Chapel. Marriages may take place here for current students at St. Jerome's University or University of Waterloo, and/or registered members of this worship community who are actively attending Mass. 10 months’ notice is required. Please speak with the UCC Coordinator for more information.

All children attending a Catholic school are encouraged to participate in these sacraments along with their classmates. Families wishing to have their children participate in these sacraments at UCC are required to be actively attending Mass at UCC. Children wishing to receive their First Communion please complete the application form. Young Adults wishing to be Confirmed, please complete the application form.
The Diocese of Hamilton offers Catechetical Correspondence Courses for students in Kindergarten to High School who are not attending a Catholic School. Parents are encouraged to begin First Communion preparation in Grade 1. Two courses (or programs) are required for Confirmation. An early start in Grade 6 or 7 is necessary. Information and application forms are available on the Diocesan website (www.hamiltondiocese.com)
Who Should Receive this Sacrament?
Those who are living with acute or chronic illness, mental or emotional illness, elderly
people who are very weak and patients before surgery
can all be anointed.
We should
remember that this sacrament is for the living. When
someone
dies they
are prayed for but the body is not anointed.
How Can the Community Help Those Who Are Sick?
Since we are connected to each other in many ways, illness
not only affects those who are sick, but also can affect
their families,
friends
and even co-workers. The whole Christian community
forms the body of Christ. Together our prayers are more powerful
and
express our
communal desire for the person's return to health.
If you would like to receive this sacrament please

Msgr. Ed Sheridan, Our Lady of Lourdes Church,
519-886-0342 or
