Ethical Behaviour and Human Rights at St. Jerome's University

Health Services

The primary mandate of Health Services is to provide on-site family physicians for all registered full and part-time, graduate and under-graduate students. Outreach activities for the university community include health care for visiting students and faculty and urgent care/first aid to University of Waterloo employees and visitors. Counselling Services

Counselling Services provides free confidential counselling, both individually and in groups, with qualified professionals to help registered students, faculty and staff with personal and social concerns, educational and career decisions, and approaches to studies and exams. CCTV Cameras

Please be advised the St. Jerome's University premises are monitored by CCTV cameras. The purpose of CCTV monitoring is to deter crime and to protect the safety and property of the university community.

Walksafe Program

The WALKSAFE Service is a complimentary service provided to the UW Community by the UW Police Service. Student Security Members will meet you at parking lots, bus stops, buildings, and residences; escort you for buses, cabs, or until your vehicle starts.

All requests will be accommodated by one male and one female member on foot.

Safety Van

The Safety Van is a service available to students, faculty and staff. It runs from the first day of registration to the last day of exams. It leaves regularly from the Student Life Centre at about 6:00 pm in the winter, at 9:00 pm in the summer and runs until 1:00am. Women have first priority for rides. Cards for a ride and schedule maps are available at the Student Life Centre Turnkey Desk, ext. 33867.
