The Gordon and Margaret Vanstone Scholarship was established through a donation of $100,000 from St. Jerome's retired Faculty member Dr. Scott Vanstone which had been awarded to him through BlackBerry (then RIM) by the Ontario Government as he was awarded the Catalyst Prize. It is named in honour of Dr. Vanstone's parents Gordon and Margaret Vanstone. This award is presented annually to the student living at St. Jerome's University enrolled in Mathematics program with the highest average.
